What is 4H?

4-H is the nation's largest positive youth development and youth mentoring organization, empowering six million young people in the U.S.


Happy Hikers 4H Club's purpose is to work together to develop leadership and communication skills through club and community activities.

Lasting Effects

Reports show that 4-H youth excel beyond their peers. 4-Her's are about:

  • 4x's more likely to make contributions to their communities (Grades 7-12)
  • 2x's more likely to be civically active (Grades 8-12)
  • 2x's more likely to make healthier choices (Grades 7)
  • 2x's more likely to participate in Science, Engineering and Computer Technology programs during out-of-school time (Grades 10-12)
